The big deal with Horowitz is that while he has no criminal investigative powers, he has enormous power over the government agencies he oversees, including policy enforcements and instituting discipline activities against government employees including suspension or firing
Right not it is critical that as many of the coup plotters be removed from their positions of power and authority, which they have used to undermine and frame President Trump and to cover up Obama Administration misconduct and corruption. Horowitz may not be able to put people in jail, but he can have government employees escorted out of their offices carrying their personal belongings
Can he hit them in the arse with the door on their way out;E)
No he doesn't.
All the IGs do is report and recommend.
I worked with IGs during their investigations in DoD. Even when they found wrong doing, 99% of the time they recommended increased training, changes to regulations, and rarely - firings.
Whatever Durham is up to, I would hope his efforts produce real fruit. But my guess is he will go after underlings in the coup conspiracy.
Brennan and Comey - maybe. But even there I have my doubts.
Obama, Hillary, and members of Congress?
No way.
Yup.
And anyone who has bothered to read up on Durham is well aware that he is notoriously slow, methodical, and meticulous. Hes not operating on the FR timetable.
Oh, but, he does win a lot of pretty significant cases against truly evil creatures.
