In 1986, while serving in the Sinai with the MFO, I was traveling near the Dead Sea. I saw an Israeli F15 break the sound barrier in full afterburner about 100ft off the deck in about 30 degrees nose down attitude pushing a dust storm in front of it.

It was a very dangerous event for me as there were no medical personnel around to minister to my 4 hour erection...

I have spoken to American pilots that told me Israeli pilots do stuff in training Americans don't do in combat.

Two days ago a couple of what looked like cargo planes, four engines, narrow wings like a passenger jet, pretty big, buzzed my little town about 500 meters above us (we’re 1,000 meters above sea level) heading South, I assumed to supply the area around Ghaza for an assault. They were definitely military and in no hurry. Sound barrier remained intact. So they either already had incoming missiles or were expecting them because the aforementioned fart smellow had already been sent down to Helen Thomas.
