A former adviser to President George W. Bush has proposed a way for Senate Republicans to remove President Trump from office while avoiding accountability from angry Republican voters.
Juleanna Glover is a veteran Washington hostess, lobbyist, and strategist who has worked on the staffs of Bush, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Glover also advised Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain during his 2008 presidential run.
Glover, 50, a longtime Trump critic who supported independent candidate Evan McMullin in 2016, proposed a strategy for Senate Republicans to oust Trump should the House follow through with impeaching the president. In an article for Politico, Glover wrote that a handful of outgoing Republicans could take all the political heat and force the Senate to adopt a secret vote on the articles of impeachment passed in the House.

While I do support the application of “Unintended Consequences” to all the coup plotters I would argue that the U.S. Capitol building is a national treasure and a fine example of late 18th century neoclassical design. As such, it should not be subject to the harsh treatment so richly deserved by the commie cabal that currently inhabits it’s premises.

Long enough for the actual vote to be taken if it passes. Then the Democrats will leak both votes so the outrage will sink the re-election of every Senator who voted for conviction and removal from Office and likely disqualification from holding further Office to prevent his re-election. Republicans have so many up for re-election next year that the Democrats would end up with a veto proof majority and the Democrats would have free reign control of the Government no matter who gets elected President.

Romney has also been silent due to what happened in Mexico with the Mormons his family has ties to.(He looked barely restrained emotionally when I saw him interviewed about the killings). I don’t know why I think this but some cartel folks may be in for some payback.
