The RNC is not doing its job! Seems the rats are motivated to go out and vote ...this should be a concern for the 2020 presidential election! I’ve been saying, McDaniel NEEDS TO GO for sometime!!
like Bevin... Rispone an old, horrible candidate.
Need a recount for sure.
Whose idea was it to hold an election on the Saturday when LSU is playing a football game in Oxford, Mississippi, against Ole Miss?
Did they really think the LSU folks would stop and vote on their way to Oxford? Or was this planned exactly as the Louisiana Democrat Party wanted it to be?
Sorry, I’m just home from work and haven’t read through this entire thread yet. Someone might have already discussed the Saturday issue. Just can’t believe they would have an election on a day when LSU is playing football — especially an out of state game!
Got up early to see the results of this race; certainly its disappointing, but it appears LA still uses the West Virginia approach to politics vote conservatively in national elections, while electing the occasional democrat as Governor or Senator. Remember, this is the state that once had the crook Edwin Edwards and the cryer/liar Kathleen Blanco as Governor, and Mary Landrieu as Senator. With the large GOP majority in the legislature and the fact a popular and relatively moderate democrat Governor who once led in polling by double-digits was nearly toppled last night, the general trajectory of LA is a good one.
What people here seem to be ignoring is that PDJT wanted this election to send a message:
“”The eyes of history are looking upon the great people of Louisiana,” Mr. Trump told thousands of supporters in Bossier City, adding, “I really need you, but you really need you, to send a message to the corrupt Democrats in Washington.””
Rispone being a good or bad candidate was irrelevant. Local politics was irrelevant. There was a much bigger issue here and that was for the good people of Louisiana to send a loud, clear message to D.C and the rest of the country that they, who gave PDJT a resounding victory in that state back in 2016, still support him and will hold his attackers accountable.
All you have to do is look at the results from the notoriously crooked Orleans (New Orleans) Parish. The Democrat Incumbent received 114,000 votes and the Republican received 13,000. That voted alone was almost 3 times the margin of victory. I wonder how many Orleans Voters were bussed to polling places to vote multiple times?
