If you want a little more info of how bad Jindal’s popularity had sunk, this article gives you an idea. Basically, by his last year in office he was down to a 20% approval rating, which was one of the major reasons John Bel Edwards won in the first place.

I had been wondering why Jindal had kind of disappeared from Republican political activism and on the national stage. The party gave him an opportunity to make an important presentation a few years ago. I was seriously unimpressed with his delivery. My immediate thought was, he will not have the national impact that Obama had with his (Obama’s) maiden speech.
