In the early 1970’s, I, and my fellow Viet Nam vet classmates, were so busy trying to get through calculus, physics, and chemistry and the many geology and mining classes, we didn’t have time to be involved in anything but studying!

I lived in student housing on Sierra, near Nye Hall, and spent most of my time in a lab, looking down a microscope.
We WERE thinking a lot in those days.
