Last week, Israel once again faced a barrage of rockets from Gaza while most of the mainstream Democratic candidates whistled and looked away.
Candidates don’t have to comment on every event happening around the world, but the silence of much of the Democratic field feels like more than passing disinterest. And when Vice President Joe Biden offered even a bland message of support for Israel that would have been unremarkable a few years ago, he got massive pushback from the left on Twitter.
And it’s those activists on Twitter, and in the campus fever swamps, who shape the progressive conversation on Israel.

The "news" sources spoke of Israel's "attacks" on those poor blockaded Arabs, with most ignoring the 450 missiles the Arab terrorist squatters launched to start the whole mess. Thanks knighthawk.

As a Jew you should know that there are some very Conservative, cigar chomping, NRA supporting, patriotic Jews out there like me. Jews of (what you call) “big city Jews” suffer from a disease called , “TLH” which means , Terminal Liberal Hemorrhoids. It is a disease that starts out near the anus and works it’s way up to the brain, eventually proves fatal.
Not all Jews suffer from this malady, many of us are fighting against that disease. Just sayin’.

Like the Russian and German socialists of three generations back, today’s socialist don’t just tell the Jews to go to hell, they are happy to help the Jews to move on to the next world. Socialists by their nature hate God. Christians are too numerous for the far left to say what they think about us, but it’s safe for them to pick on the Jews.

I’ve long held the belief that the Israeli government should require that the international press move their offices to Sderot, or other cities that are on the front lines of the missile attacks.
Jerusalem or Tel Aviv are simply too far from “the news” that’s too easily ignored. I wonder how long the missile attacks would be ignored by “reporters” who have to run to air raid shelters?
