This is not good news with some “negative aspects”. To hear that they are pulling donations from these kinds of institutions is catastrophic. It sends the message that we don’t support your mission. There’s already tons of donations for education, homelessness, and hunger. Additionally, there’s also tons of government aid for all these material needs.
Chick-Fil-A is trying to be to business what Notre Dame is to education...maintaining a veneer of religiosity, while doing the bidding of the political Left. Pulling donations from Fellowship of Christian Athletes?...Really? It’s a cynical business move that stands in contrast to the way their founder did business. It will not hurt them initially (because most people don’t know), but in time the word will spread. I can’t imagine that this will help in the long run.
