“Why doesn’t Trump prosecute Schiff, Pelosi, et al, for interference in the conduct of Government business, interference in the duties of a sworn law enforcement officer, etc.?”

Good question. I’m guessing that congress critters are immune from lawsuits, at least for what they say while on the floor. It wouldn’t surprise me if they’re immune altogether. Have you ever heard of a congress critter ever being sued for anything? I can’t think of any examples off the top of my head.

I think it’s SOP for congress to exempt themselves for laws they pass. Maybe someone who’s better informed than I can weigh in on this...

Yeah the Congress is pretty much immune. Private citizens not so much. However because President Trump is a public figure, he can be verbally abused by any body at any time.

I cannot speak to US politics, but in the UK and Kanadahar, anything said by a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons is not subject to defamation laws. Outside of the House, it is a different story. I would suspect that be standard operating policy for most ‘democracies’ (or pseudo-democracies, in the case of Kanadahar).
