Democrats' make-or-break week of impeachment hearings kicks off, as contradictions surface in testimony
Beginning Tuesday morning, in a rush of five hearings ahead of the Thanksgiving recess, eight witnesses -- including several who have provided inconsistent accounts of key events -- are set to testify over three days in what could be a make-or-break week in House Democrats' impeachment investigation.
Less than 24 hours before the proceedings are set to be gaveled in at 9 a.m. ET, President Trump floated the idea of testifying, rather than tweeting, during the inquiry. A top Republican called for a last-minute postponement, citing secretive new developments behind closed doors. And, the Trump campaign has pointed out apparent inconsistencies in some witness testimony already on the record.
Though he's not slated to testify until Wednesday, the key witness expected to come up throughout the week is Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, the wealthy donor who has bragged about his proximity to President Trump -- and who repeatedly has frustrated Democrats' narrative by contradicting several other key witnesses in the probe.

Breathless news accounts. Which all fail to note we’ve had the transcript of the call now for a month. It’s like the press is playing a game of “let’s pretend” in an attempt to conjure up some evil deed out of thin air. A sick attempt to try and rewrite history to suite their need for a crime which simply is not there.
They could do this past Christmas but people’s minds are made up.
Only about 10% of Americans want Trump impeached. The rest don’t have an opinion or don’t care.
There’s no huge public clamor for what Democrats want to do. They’re literally boxed into the point of diminishing returns.
Wait, wasn’t last week “make or break” or will that be next week or the week after?
Trying to push the ratings.
Last see was the ordinary ‘make or break’ week. This week is the ‘bombshell’ ‘make or break’ week. Next week will be the ‘breaking news’ ‘make or break’ week. Of course, after that come the ‘earth shattering’ ‘make or break’ week.
All those “make or breaks” are enough to make Eric Swallwell fart.
Personally, I believe that this whole “big deal” is a 100% WASTE of time & taxpayer’s money.
The DIMocRATS Party should IMMEDIATELY SHUT-DOWN this WITCH HUNT & REIMBURSE the taxpayers for the money that they have WASTED on this FOOLISHNESS.
