What Democrats’ next witness, Alexander Vindman, really has to say

House Democrats are trotting out their star witness for Tuesday’s ­impeachment show, Lt.-Col. Alexander Vindman. He listened in on the July 25 phone call between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodomyr Zelensky, that is central to the Democrats’ case. They allege that Trump demanded Zelensky dig up dirt on the Bidens in exchange for military aid.

At first glance, Vindman looks like the ideal witness, wearing US Army dress blues with medals. The media portray him as a hero reluctantly stepping forward to disclose presidential misconduct. But Vindman will wither under cross-examination, as he did during closed-door testimony on Oct. 29. You haven’t heard that because the media are misleading you.

Vindman’s job at the National ­Security Council is to write policy memos, schedule meetings and keep minutes of conversations with foreign diplomats. That’s why he was on the July 25 call.

They have nothing. No corpus delicti, no crime and no victim.

Democrats will have to just pull a rabbit out of their hat to impeach Trump.

I see nothing that even rises to the level of an impeachable offense.

So far, no one is guilty of a crime (even Hunter Biden). There is a ton of ethical charges (Joe Biden and half of the Justice Department/FBI), but this whole thing has turned into more of an afternoon circus.

This thing has gotten to the point Democrats are trying to resurrect Mueller perjury angle because they literally have nothing to hang Trump with.

And even lying isn’t an impeachable offense.

IDK, I say the Republicans in the House should vote for Impeachment - force the whole stinking mess to go to the Senate. There they can subpoena everybody and their brother. That would include Nazi, Shifty, the Biden crime family, any and all claimed whistleblowers.

I bet the Senate could keep this cluster going till the end of February ... which should really screw up the Dems.

Looked this guy up on Wikipedia (I know). According to the article, he has an older brother and an identical twin. All born in the Ukraine and all three are career Army officers.

So I guess Shifty won’t allow Senator Johnson’s letter into the record, because it allows Republicans to ask Vindmann what his relationship was to Eric CIAramella, and why was he passing information to CIAramella after CIAramella was booted off the NSC staff. Also was the information passed done in secure channels, and where was he meeting CIAramella.
