Excellent point. Or, at a restaurant having a drink with dinner. Apply the reasoning elsewhere, how’s it sound?

This “because you might ___________” ‘reasoning’ is abominably unAmerican, invasive and 1984ish.

DAs and prosecutors are big causes of this bullshit. Lawyers — enemies within.

Dirty cops have been known to drop illegal narcotics in a car or home to increase charges. See the case in Houston as an example.

What's to stop a cop from dropping a beer can (or a case) into a house where he wants to confiscate guns?

Or into an ex-girlfriend's new dude?

Or a malicious ex-wife and her divorce attorney doing that?

The prosecutors in OH misapplied the law.
