You are far more correct than you may realize. Early in Obama’s first term he sent a questionnaire out to all officers 0-5 and above. The questionnaire was NOT optional. Not long after the submission deadline The Great Purge began.
This was reported on by alternative media and talk radio but, there was a total blackout of this by the MSM.
I had recently retired after 26.5 years in before Obama was elected and had many good contacts at the time.
The questionnaire was full of references to Patriotism, Loyalty to The Constitution, Women in Combat, Diversity, etc...not long after this there was a steady string of “retirements”, relief of command.
This was followed by Flag Officers making statements that Diversity is our Main Strength. Women are as capable in combat as men, etc
This was followed by the Infantry requirement to allow women into combat training courses where mid level officers and senior enlisted were trying to raise the alarm over falsified female combat readiness reports.
They were dealt with promptly.

Trump’s just been up to his a** in alligators. Can’t fire everyone without another screamfest ensuing.
And my biggest gripe with Trump is he has done nothing to clean up the mess left by Obama at the Pentagon. I retired from the Army during the Clinton years and have watched our Army sink into the sewer under Obama. I had high hopes for Trump in this area but NOTHING has been done.
