There is a reason that President Trump published a transcript of first call with Zelensky and.then made such a big deal about it .
This was perplexing to many because it really didn't say much of anything other than polite congratulations on victory so what was the big deal?

It was quietly reported earlier that the investigation of Burisma and the Bidens was started long before the July 25 call to Ukraine. The investigation has been underway at least as far back as March and probably even before Zelensky was elected in March.
Comments have also been made that the investigation by Ukraine never ended in the first place.
Biden may have managed to get the prosecutor fired, but the investigation was never closed and it seems to actually have continued, possibly to give the corrupt Ukraine government at the time blackmail ammunition for leverage against the Obama Administration and Joe Biden.

At any rate, it is impossible for President Trump to have bribed or extorted Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden and Burisma was already underway long before the July call.
In fact, it is almost a certainty that when President Trump said in the July call that he had heard reports about Ukraine corruption the reports he had heard had been coming from Ukraine itself as part of the Ukrainians ongoing investigation
In fact, Ukrainians tried to travel to the United States to inform US DOJ and FBI officials of the results they had uncovered but were denied Visas by Obama holdovers and given the run around by members of US diplomatic corps in Ukraine trying to cover up.
