but had it been, it would have been fully justified ...
USA had a valid interest in finding out about the Bidens’ illegal bribery and corruption of selling access and favoritism with the (previous) administration...
a serious interest...
and we have a treaty that calls on Ukraine to investigate such crimes upon USA’s request
had a USA president NOT requested (or conditioned aid if necessary) to get this help from Ukraine, it would have constituted a dereliction of duty
so PDJT would have done the exactly correct thing even if he had ‘conditioned’ the aid
this is an important point that doesn’t seem to get mentioned much, since of course he didn’t (have to) condition the aid
but its worth mentioning!

Mine sure hasn’t. He’s in a competitive district and he thinks being a squish will help win reelection. What he doesn’t realize is if he abandons Trump he’s a goner anyway.
