Do I see a Pexit in Poland’s future?
Not a chance - Poland see’s the EU as flawed, highly flawed, but
1. changeable - with Hungary, Czechia and Slovakia we’re already pushing the westerners on the defensive and will move them away from their social liberalism. That’s only going to get better with the UK leaving as the UK was another promoter of social liberalism
2. capitalist - the common market helps with selling goods massively. We don’t want the Euro and aren’t going to get the euro - we don’t want it and the eurozone doesn’t want us in either. The UK leaving is a blow to capitalism in the EU, but not a massive blow - Germany and the Netherlands are heavily capitalist as well.
3. Being part of the EU helps push away Russia, with whom we’ve fought nearly a dozen wars with since the 15th century (most of which we won - but when poland lost to Russia, it lost hard)
