The whistleblower will have to be named and testify. The roots to Soros could be explored. All the FISA abuses would be allowed as evidence. Former President Obama could be called as a witness.
Now some of this depends on whether the Chief Justice allows a far ranging defense. But phone records would be confiscated and Adam Schiff's staff can't afford to be seen coordinating the whistleblower.
Think about it. They thought it would all go their way when they were able to stack the deck in the House hearing. They figured with the lamestream media beating the drums day after day the American people would be clamoring for the President to step down. That didn't happen. Despite the stacked deck the witnesses they produced were feeble at best. Nobody believed the crap that the networks put out.
The democrats are going to let this whither on the vine and vote it down. Now they are stupid and believe that with the networks on their side, they can foist anything they want on the American people. So I give this prediction at 80% confidence of being voted down in the House and 20% they are silly enough to let it go to the Senate.
I am now predicting that the impeachment vote does not pass the in the House. The Democrats can’t afford to have witnesses questioned under oath in a fair trial in the Senate.
What makes you assume the trial will be fair in the Senate? The GOP Senate has not been supportive of President Trump in his battle against the coup for 3 years. In fact the GOP Senate blocked the outstanding Ratcliffe for DNI. Graham has already made rumblings about picking the witnesses for POTUS. I’m just not counting my chickens on a Senate trial. McConnell will find a way to do the absolute minimum in support of POTUS. Guaranteed.
They get free TV coverage....opportunity to knock and debase Trump. And bring in people to support that Trump is a terrible unfit monster. You see they have nothing to lose by going ahead....Soros, Fisa, the whistle-blower, records etc. being exposed are pretty much already known....and they know it...and these are being investigated. So the only thing they have is to proceed taking the oxygen out out all the network stations and cntinue to stop anything Trump wants to do for this country. They will throw anyone of their own under their bus without blinking an eye doing so.....and the Ukraine investigation is surely going to reveal the depth the Dems have their paws in ukraines corruption.....
I think you are grossly underestimating the vindictiveness of the bat shit crazy Democrats. They will pass this Impeachment bill... with all but 3-4 Dems voting in favor.
They know this isn't going anywhere, but what else do they have? Nothing. And, bottom line, they still haven't gotten over the impeachment of Clinton. This is 'payback'.
