So the question is...what does he or she have to swap for lesser time ......

The question, I think, is more accurately...What do any of them have to swap? What law firm can they afford? How long are any of them willing to go to prison for if and, hopefully, when the time comes? Do I have enough evidence to get me out this jam? Has someone else already gone to the DOJ with the same information to get a better deal?

One thing about dealing with the Fed’s in a criminal investigation, if you’re involved and show up, first, with the goods, you’ll get the best deal. In their parlance, you get one chance to get on the bus, and only one chance. If you hold out and they get the dirt on you, see ya. No deal for you, unless you got the goods on someone else and that’ll just lessen your sentence, maybe.

Now the anxiety of who knows what, who knew what, who have they told, have the made a deal starts to set in. Knowing that you took part in trying to overthrow an election and remove a duly elected President, got caught and you have no idea what is going to happen and who is naming names, has got to be stress like you can’t imagine...ha ha ha ha ha ha...good on ‘em, they deserve it. Hope they all stroke out, right after their allocution and

Because, the amount you pay in hourly, lawyer fees, generally corresponds to the quality of representation or the connections you’re paying for. If, all of a sudden, anyone of these hacks is paying for the $1500/hr lawyer, then their previous job at DOJ/FBI paid a lot more than what it is being publicized, someone is fronting that money or they’re paying for silence.

I’m trying not to get too excited about this but:

1. They thought she was going to walk away with it, no one would ever find out about their dirty tricks, corruption and crimes and they’d rule the country from their thrones.

2. That Mueller would be able to take down the President and all would be forgotten about as his impeachment/resignation would grab the headlines

Now, it doesn’t appear that way. Whoever the first one is, they are the thread that no one wants pulled. If what Barr has been saying lately, is actually how he feels, then there could be a chance that he drops the hammer on these people. If that happens you’ll be seeing the people involved sprinting, lawyers in tow, to the Justice Dept to make a deal.

How many of them end up, smoked in Ft Marcy Park, shot on an empty street in DC, choked out in a “secure” correctional facility, die in a plane crash/car crash, victim of a home invasion or commit suicide by shooting themselves in the head, twice, remains to be seen.

Whether you're guilty or innocent.

Great analysis. Makes sense the deals are needed to bring down the higher-ups, even though a huge electronic “paper trail” surely exists. We were all hoping the deals have already happened, and that that’s why it’s taken so long. Hoping.

That, and the old mistake of making toast in the bathtub.
