One reason states parole elderly prisoners is so it won’t be burdened with their increasing medical costs. If it’s considered they aren’t a further danger to anyone, they can be booted to save money.

Snort. The prison system will save money. The taxpayers won't. The perp will be a Medicare/Medicaid dual eligible and taxpayers will still be on the hook for supporting the SOB. It would have been more cost effective to execute him.
