Amazon is suing the Pentagon over a $10 billion cloud-computing contract awarded to Microsoft using comments made by Donald Trump at a campaign rally in 2016 and a Fox News clip in its legal challenge, according to reports.

The retail giant, who had been seen as the favorite to carry out the work, said it filed a legal complaint Friday with the U.S. Court of Federal Claims seeking to challenge the decision.

The complaint is sealed, but the company said earlier this month there was 'unmistakable bias' on the government's part.

In a statement a spokesman for Amazon said 'it's critical for our country that the government and its elected leaders administer procurements objectively and in a manner that is free from political influence'.

They added: 'Numerous aspects of the JEDI evaluation process contained clear deficiencies, errors, and unmistakable bias — and it's important that these matters be examined and rectified'.

Amazon is said to have cited comments made by the president at a campaign rally in 2016 and a clip on Fox News in the lawsuit, The Washington Post reports.

[[’it’s critical for our country that the government and its elected leaders administer procurements objectively]]

How many procurmenets did obama and clinton administer ‘objectively’? Who said a government must administer objectively?

By Amazon suing, you mean the Derp State Clowns are suing.

Amazon got a juicy DIA contract about 15 years ago.

I’d love to do document discovery on that transaction since it was awarded outside the normal bounds of supplier contracting.

There are well publicized security issues with Amazon. The Pentagon isn’t the only one dumping them.

This is Bezo trying to stage a PR stunt

The gov should send them one of those “your seller account has been suspended, you’ll receive no further contact from us” emails.

Amazon cannot reliably pick, pack, ship, and deliver it’s goods. Horrible systems and support. It’s their Achilles heel.

Amazon and the world’s richest Democrat should stop being so partisan. Maybe then people could trust them to do a job honestly.

You mean the Pentagon has a “bias” toward their CIC? That’s boom worthy! Are they supposed to have a bias toward Amazon? What a putz.

Just because Trump had a bias doesn’t mean the bias played a role in the selection process. Proving it did would be next to impossible and Bozo knows it. Plus Microsoft is getting involved with their lawyers too.

There are so many of these alphabet agencies. Seventeen of them wiith intelligence arms. As long as we are a police state, how can there be so many murders, especially in a place like Baltimore where very few murderers are ever brought to justice? mmmm maybe too much time and money spent going after conservatives
