And while it’s not popular to say so, and I too hope people go to prison for what they did, in the end exposing and putting safeguards in place to, as the Presdient always says “Make sure this cannot happen to another President ever again” is the highest priority, and the thing that will preserve the nation. Putting individual bad apples in jail while leaving the rotting barrel to produce more like them would only be a temporary respite.
That is why Trump uses the words he does. You don’t hear him bitching and moaning about “none of these people will every face justice”. There are many forms of punishment other than prison, and ones that do not require the same standard of proof or convincing a DC jury.
