Not just the city - state. The police called looking for me when my NYS handgun permit expired in the early aughts and that I needed to come into the station and surrender my weapon. I told them I moved out of state, and they said to have a nice day.

I thought that there was a Federal law on that very subject that superseded any local or state restrictions.

2A is simple and clear. With all due respect,SCOTUS has ZERO say no matter what, nor does anyone else. Not to be dramatic,I will be very dramatic if the day comes where the left does make that push that they want.
