It does state adherence to and defense of the constitution - represented by the flag, which is why I don’t subscribe to in any way the NFL- but that’s another subject
Officers in adherence to their oath recognize the will of the electorate as indicated by the electoral process. They abide by the president’s decisions as long as they adhere to the constitution
