Obama: 'I Don't Care' Whether You'll Like the Nominee, Just Vote Democrat
PJ Media ^ | 12/02/2019 | BY MICHAEL VAN DER GALIEN

Posted on 12/02/2019 7:48:36 AM PST by SeekAndFind

On Thursday, former President Barack Obama was the main guest at a fundraiser in Silicon Valley. When asked a question about the many candidates running, he told those present that he couldn't care less whether they'd like the eventual nominee. They just have to vote for him/her/it.

"Everybody needs to chill out about the candidates, but gin up about the prospect of rallying behind whoever emerges from this process," Obama told the millionaire techies, according to far-left news channel CNN. "There will be differences" between them, he added, "but I want us to make sure that we keep in mind that, relative to the ultimate goal, which is to defeat a president and a party that has ... taken a sharp turn away from a lot of the core traditions and values and institutional commitments that built this country," those differences are "relatively minor."

"The field will narrow and there's going to be one person, and if that is not your perfect candidate and there are certain aspects of what they say that you don't agree with and you don't find them completely inspiring the way you'd like, I don't care," he went on to say. "Because the choice is so stark and the stakes are so high that you cannot afford to be ambivalent in this race."

In other words, shut the heck up and vote for whomever the Democratic Party nominates. You don't have to like him or her, you just have to vote for him/her.

You've got to give it to Obama: he doesn't make a secret of his arrogance and party-first mentality. Principles? Yack, who needs those? Disagreeing with the nominee about "climate change" and "health care"? Who cares? The nominee will have a "D" next to her/his name, and that's the thing that truly matters.

I voted for the Republican because the only alternative was 0bama. McCain and Romney were certainly better choices than 0bama.

There is principle involved: the unfettered right to abortion. Any Democrat elected President will be certain to select pro-abortion justices for the Supreme Court and for lower courts.

The courts have become the ultimate arbiters in our system and any Democrat will pack the courts with progressives.

Obama was for letting babies who survive an abortion die from neglect already when he was in the Illinois legislature, long before the governor of Virginia came out for that.

Is what is happening to the democrats a result of the 2012 convention when they attempted removal of any reference to Our Creator ?

When the God believing and fearing founders of this nation came up with the Republican vs democratic form of governmental representation. It appears to me they considered that groups we call political partys once elected to a given political office. Could place their groups control and interest above the common good and benefit of the nation once elected to a legislative, executive or judicial office Rather than work together for the common interest.

They felt that upon election requiring taking the oath of office taken which swears loyalty to abide and support the constitution would avert any such direction and super cede any political postion taken by the group that the office holder associated with before entering .

Well, there you go. That’s what Obama is saying to the Dems as well, in reverse of course.

Illinois is in the Midwest and Michelle is from Illinois.

If they nominate Michelle, Illinois will be safely in the Democrat column in November 2020.

I wouldn’t want to have a beer with Trump,

Neither would I, but only because he's a teetotaler.

I'd be delighted to have a cuppa with him.

And judging the tree by its fruits, I'd vote for him as well!

I’d be happy to have dinner - I don’t drink beer - with Donald and Melania Trump. However, I wouldn’t put ketchup on my medium rare steak.

Desperation from 11 months out. Obama is in a tough spot as long as Biden is in the race. LOL! Popcorn futures going through the roof!

RE: If they nominate Michelle, Illinois will be safely in the Democrat column in November 2020.

Well, that’s not much of an advantage. Illinois has always been Democrat.

In fact, along with most of the states in the Northeast ( except maybe NH ) and the West ( CA, OR and WA ), together with Maryland, I pretty much concede that Trump won’t win Illinois in 2020.

No one can have a beer with the President since he doesn’t drink alcohol. I think tea or covfefe is ok though. :)

“I voted for the Republican because the only alternative was 0bama. McCain and Romney were certainly better choices than 0bama.”

I would not have voted for Jeb in 2016. I convinced myself that if Jeb won, he was the best we would have for eight years. If he lost, we had a chance for something better in four years. I didn’t think we would survive eight years of Jeb.
