This is a bust that started in CA, went to Chicago, and ended up in my figurative back yard. $4.9 million of heroin, over 100 points of meth. Read the article, note the perps.

We lived in Lakeland (Polk County) from 1979 to 2005. I visited some friends in 2012. The area has gone to hell IMO. I wouldn’t move back there for love nor money.

Disclaimer: Even if crime hadn’t increased, we didn’t like Florida weather and traffic. Growth ruined a very nice place. I moved there in 1965 and it was a totally different world.

Year: 1989

Sylmar is something of a sleepy town northwest of Los Angeles, but it’s the site of what might be the biggest drug bust ever. In 1989, authorities seized more than 21 tons of cocaine worth roughly $6.9 billion on the street sitting in a nondescript warehouse.

Demand legislation for the sentence of execution for drug dealers and rehabilitation camps operated exclusively by prior enlisted combat soldiers and Marines (no exceptions in hiring) for addicts for terms of two years each.

Stop international trade with nations that export drugs to the U.S.A.
