If rent is paid for a full year , then they aren’t homeless any longer. Isn’t that better than them being on the streets? Or are these places crime infested section 8 places, where nobody really wants to live in the first place?
I dated a gal in one of the worst part of Brooklyn, around Brownsville.
I saw 2 gunfights (BOY do blacks have TERRIBLE shootouts, running while shooting behind them).
I saw lots of gangs.
But 99 percent of the time there was no action so I would assume even the worst neighborhood is better than the cold, mean streets.
The kicker is that section eight and crime need not be synonymous. Don't issue the aid to criminals, period. It should be reserved for working poor, who for reasons other than behavior are unable to afford a home. Or for those who, through no fault of their own, are unable to stay employed.
Actually, all such programs should go away and charity freely given should help them. But that's not likely to happen.
