Snowmobilers Rescue Three Lost Puppies on Mountaintop

Three puppies are now recovering from the cold after being rescued off a Utah mountaintop by a few snowmobilers.

Holt and Kat Perry, the snowmobilers who rescued the puppies, say it was “just dumb luck” when they found the freezing puppies who were living out of a sheep’s carcass, KSTU reported.

The couple was snowmobiling on a Weber County mountaintop when they discovered the puppies and a mother dog five miles away from the nearest road on Saturday.

“I’m not going to leave any animal on the mountain to starve, especially, it was obvious she had pups,” Kat Perry said.

The couple successfully rescued three puppies but failed to rescue the mother dog despite their efforts.

Weber County Search and Rescue happened to be in the area to assist in bringing the puppies off the mountain. The mother was too accustomed to the wild to trust her rescuers.

“We didn’t have a leash, we didn’t have a rope or anything so we decided the best thing was [to] get these guys out first and then go back in and try to get her,” Holt said.

Investigators think the mother had been protecting a flock of sheep over the summer. But when the rancher went to collect the sheep, the mother dog went to have a litter.

“The pups were cold, shivering and wet and just a little ball of ice,” Perry said.

The couple is considering adopting one of the puppies, which they have named Polar, while volunteers search for the mother. The remaining puppies will be put up for adoption through a Montana-based rescue group.

Found the picture so never mind. I think they are Great Pyrenees from the looks of their feet and coat. They’ll get very large and turn white. Herders keep those and border collies to watch the sheep. A great dog but you need open spaces for them. I had a Newfoundland once, he was a charmer. They’ll find homes for them no doubt.

They are Pyrenees according to other articles. Mom is probably that given that she was out there protecting a flock of sheep...hard to say what “Dad” is, though:) They are adorable balls of fluff.

My sis has a Pyrenees that protects a herd of goats. She refuses to be left inside at night; even on the coldest nights...she has a job to do & spends the entire night runnning the perimeter chasing off predators.

We have them a lot with sheep here in Idaho. The wife and I rescued a Newfy pup years ago, I thought it was a lab. My wife took to our vet to be checked out. My wife told her I was fond of labs and she said Moses would do good with them. She asked isn’t this one. The vet said no, it’s one of the great breeds. The wife said they’re really good? The vet said no, they get really big. So do the Pyrenees.

Blame nature that cranks out multiple 8 puppies so that 6 will all die.

Nature is evil.

Nature is neither good or evil.

It is nature humans have the ability to be good or evil.

“Nature is neither good or evil.”

Perhaps you could show us instead of cheap talk.

Go to the nearest zoo. Have a bystander post the video on youtube. Go climb into the lion or tiger’s cage. As a true prey in your new environment, please explain the neutrality of good & evil, you obviously learned from brain dead public school.

As nature’s claws and teeth sink into your body, explain the neutrality of mother nature.

Talk is cheap. Show us the youtube.

“Nature is evil.”

No, nature is just nature. There is no morality to nature. Weather and climate have no moral agency whatsoever. Animals have no moral agency. They do not have rational souls. Only human beings do.

And before you say something else stupid, I did not go to public school.

All talk, no action.

Please send the link to your youtube video with the tigers in the zoo. We want your explanation while being pulled limb from limb.

Otherwise, without the video, you are full of nonsense.
BS artists deserve to be in academia because they produce little of value, no results, just paperwork. lol

Nature is evil.

“All talk, no action.”

And you’re posting anything but talk?

“Please send the link to your youtube video with the tigers in the zoo.”

I don’t have any videos on youtube. And no video of tigers on youtube changes the fact that animals act on instinct and cannot commit acts which are morally evil. They simply are animals.

“We want your explanation while being pulled limb from limb.”

If you were to tear my limbs off - that would be evil. If a tiger did it, it would just be nature at work.

“Otherwise, without the video, you are full of nonsense.”

You’re not refuting anything I am saying. Demands about tiger videos on youtube do not make an argument for anything of substance.

“BS artists deserve to be in academia because they produce little of value, no results, just paperwork. lol”

Your posts are of little value. They also make little or no sense. Watch some more cat videos since that’s about your level of discernment apparently.

“Nature is evil.”

No, that’s logically impossible.

As nature’s claws and teeth sink into your body, explain the neutrality of mother nature.

Where is the evil in a wild animal that does what nature created it to do? Kill to survive

Where is the good in a wild animal that does what nature created it to do? Kill to survive....

Good vs. evil only exist in the world of humans since we are the only species on this planet that has the ability to distinguish the difference between the two.....

Nature is neutral........

Humans tend to but human traits onto animals.

Like good or evil.

They are animals they do what animals do.
