So, his wicki article says Paul Singer is a "businessman, philanthropist and activist," and further research uncovered that he was a major Republican donor, who had opposed Trump in '16. That his activism includes lobbying to keep the government from further regulating the financial industry, and getting society to accept gay marriage (his son is married to another man). All very self-serving. Most likely a thorough never-Trumper, and certainly not a good guy. See Tucker for details.
Still, I can understand Trump being glad Singer's moving on AT&T/CNN. CNN might either get liquidated, or might clean up its act, if not to switching to a conservative editorial policy, then at least to actually practicing journalism, and firing all the nitwits that presently make that impossible.
I watched it too.
I believe it was Sidney, NE and Sasse failed to comment when asked about it.
It would be funny if a little bad PR turned him around. It would be interesting to see the folks at CNN apologize for what they have done to keep their jobs.
CNN, if it’s not profitable is fried chicken. Or there’s a chance that Singer may gut it, sell what he can and then form another “Right Leaning/Conservative” programming option to drive a stake through the heart of Fox.
I scrolled through much of Trump’s twitter feed but didn’t see this tweet. It is early, and I’ve only had a half cup of coffee, so I could have missed it.
I was with AT&T/Lucent for many years and watched it go from one of the greatest companies on the planet to a shell that only enriches its top managers while it laid off people by the hundreds of thousands and saw its stock lose 99% of its value. I don’t care what happens to it. Let Singer tear it to pieces. He couldn’t possibly do any worse than their own people did.
I’ve been saying for years on this forum. The media companies are all publicly traded. Instead of complaining about them, conservatives should pick one and start buying the stock. Put your money where your keyboard is.
Why does this post exist? This tweet was months ago and Singer has not influenced CNN one iota. I expected something relevant to today. Thanks for wasting mine and everyone’s time.
Sydney NE which is in western Nebraska and the home of Cabela's.
I believe it was Singer who engaged Fusion FSB on Little Marco’s behalf.
