I couldn’t do that job in a million years. I would get too ticked off. Not at the prisoners, but seeing who is in the jail and who is not in the jail. Some black kid who couldn’t afford a lawyer doing 20 years for a 1st time drug offense while Hillary walks free? That would drive me nuts.

I took that test a few times in my life and it seemed like it was looking for consistency. It asked the same question multiple times in different ways. I worked in corrections for 20 years. The inmates were never the problem, the prison politics were a big problem. They only promoted the people who played their game. Most were idiots.

Nope, doesn't happen...been an officer in a max security juvenile detention system for years....the kids coming in there were pretty nasty individuals for the most part. Their crimes were serious and often repeated. There were those, of course who got caught up in the system and were just followers....those were the ones who received a bit of sympathy.

I was always very understanding and protective of my group of kids (40) but I tolerated very little nonsense. Privileges were based on behavior and they knew that and acted accordingly. Penalties for serious misbehavior could be an unsatisfactory report at parole time which might result in not going home for another 3-6 months. A few of our officers were a little on the sadistic side and EVERYONE knew who they were....very unpopular with all.

We had excellent counselors who did a great job with the kids....the kids have had little if any positive people in their lives and reacted very positively to any personal attention paid to them. I got beat up three times in various escape attempts or insurrections but made it through all but the last.....couldn't recover enough to return to work so I retired.....I was 70.....LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THAT JOB
