Stanford law professor Pamela Karlan – the Democrats’ “constitutional expert” in the Judiciary Committee hearings – launched into a scathing tirade against white people in a 2006 speech to the American Constitution Society.
We say here in the East that she looks like she tried to kiss a train.

Turley’s problem was he didn’t know the call was perfect.
The thing I don’t understand about folks like this, like Lois Lerner or Strzok. Aren’t they concerned they may have neighbors who know who they are?
You know, I would like to think that I would be somewhat sensitive to the issue if I were asked to join in on some highly partisan activity to consider even asking, “Aren’t you concerned about how it might look? After all, don’t you already have enough Methodists involved?”
This attitude actually benefits liberals in several ways.
If you’re an elite white, saying it is just because you’re white is a way of denying that hard work or intelligence got you there. It is like minimizing your own accomplishments and hard work and implying everyone can get there with luck and passion.
It also lets liberals HATE poor whites. If these unwashed masses can’t take advantage of supposed white privilege, they’re stupid, crazy or evil. You’re both better than them AND they’re inferior. Racism becomes a proxy for classism.
Furthermore, it makes white liberals the holy martyr. Look, I’m literally holier than thou because I publicly denounce my privilege and say how horrible I am. It is an act of moral peacocking, trying to prove how much (morally) better they are than everyone else. It also positions them to be put in charge of the dumb plebs, to educate and control them. That mirrors the Christian apologists in the Muslim world who were raised to cheerleaders to the regime and put in charge of their religious group. It was their best route to power.
She was on Clinton’s judicial appointees short list. He cost her a judgeship.
She hates Trump because she was on Clinton’s list of future judicial appointees.
