Meanwhile the accusations can flow, and the press will deem it all legitimate/correct because it comes out of Congress. The incontested facts are indeed uncontested by anybody in the press, so the DEM charaterization becomes the truth.

Exactly, they will drag this out into 2020. I predict there will never be a vote on impeachment, just continuous hearings for the “impeachment inquiry.” If they were ever to vote on impeachment, they lose control of the narrative once the trial proceeds to the Senate.
