I doubt that’s what Charles was trying to do, but I’ll remain open to the possibility. That said, I think Europe is very much politically in limbo. They will either get it and make appropriate changes, or they will eventually have to fight to regain their freedoms. The time scale for these things is long.
You are kinder than I am.
The prince is old enough and has been in the public eye long enough to have learned appropriate etiquette.
The gesture was purposeful or the prince is not very smart, or both.
His mother should cancel his birthday party, too.
I am with you. Doesn’t look intentionally like an insult to me.
Decades ago as a plebe (freshman) student at USNA in chemistry class, I was in a sleep deprived daze resting my head on my left hand, elbow on the desk, with my fingers holding my face up in a similar arrangement as the prince here. My chem professor woke me from my daze by interrupting his lecture and accusing me of trying to ‘tell him something’. I had no idea as I was half awake. The guy made it a hell for me the rest of the semester (never really like chemistry since).

Well, IF they decide to fight, the USA needs to keep its blood and treasure on this side of the pond on the next go-around. The Euros aren’t worth spit or dying for at this point.
Think Rome. Rome was not really defeated, immigrants from the north came south and allowed the conquest of the diluted population.
To day Europe and the UK lack the will to reverse the diversity that is destroying the country. American cities are on the same diversity destroying path.
I have started to think in Darwinian terms where the survival of the unfit is made possible by the destruction of the Euro gene pools by the wars of the last century. That is, the UK and Europe are no longer fit and are being displaced/replaced by those that are fitter.
To save America, diversity must cease to be worshipped and the diversity priests must be eliminated
