A visibly angry .. Nancy Pelosi .. lashed out .. if she hated President Trump — asserting she didn’t hate anyone and pointedly warning the journalist: “Don’t mess with me.”
“Do you hate the president, Ms. Speaker?” the reporter, James Rosen .. asked during Pelosi’s weekly press briefing at the Capitol.
“I don’t hate anybody. We don’t hate anybody. Not anybody in the world. Don’t accuse me,” she said, leaving the podium to approach Rosen and pointing at him as she spoke.
He then interrupted her, saying he was asking about a charge from a GOP lawmaker during the House Judiciary Committee’s impeachment hearing Wednesday that Democrats wanted Trump gone only because they didn’t like him.
“I did not accuse you. I asked you a question. Rep. [Doug] Collins yesterday suggested that the Democrats are doing this simply because you don’t like the guy. I think it is an important point,”

Pelosi then walked back to the podium and continued to lecture Rosen.

“I don’t hate anyone. I was raised in a way that is a heart full of love and always pray for the president. And I still pray for the president. I pray for the president all the time. So don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that!” the California Democrat snapped.
The commander-in-chief wasted no time ripping the speaker, whom he mocks as “Nervous Nancy,” on Twitter, saying he didn’t believe that she prays for him.
“Nancy Pelosi just had a nervous fit. She hates that we will soon have 182 great new judges and sooo much more. Stock Market and employment records. She says she ‘prays for the President.’ I don’t believe her, not even close. Help the homeless in your district Nancy.. referring to San Francisco’s homeless crisis

Rosen should have shot back: “Mess with you? You did nothing when it became known that Obama messed with me and my family when he monitored my phone calls, and the calls of my parents, and seized my emails.”

I have (had?) very powerful connections.
But they’re NINETY now and what jams they could get me out of 25 years ago they likely can not now.
And it’s not (one particular person’s) age that matters but that the powerful people he knew are either all dead or in prison.
I don’t know if he kept up with the generation after that.
I haven’t been in trouble in 25 years so I haven’t needed to know :)
But YES, 3 different times when I had the vending machine route he probably saved my life.
And I can type freely because NO ONE cares what happened 25 years ago.
As far as I know there’s only one crime with no statute and that didn’t happen :)
He’s a very brave guy. I hope he has someone watching his back.
And to any who are wondering.. YES, i live in a past where i was younger, stronger and had a life and knew big shots.

The more this one has been mucking around the back of my mind, the more I am arriving at the same conclusion.
Like one of the first commenters stated, you catch the most flack when you are over the target.
This whole exchange cuts right to the heart of the Democrats insecurities on this matter. They are most deeply afraid that they are not going to be able to control the narrative and convince the people that this is all legitimate. Their biggest fear is appearing not just partisan, but hateful and corrupt.
The absolute worst thing that can happen to them is not just for the whole impeachment fiasco to faceplant in front of the whole country, but that they appear to be corrupt as well as inept.
