The Salvation Army is not only one of the better charities, it is also a church. So now they are starting to go after the church.

It would be nice if he were the one to stand up to them, he being one of there own. I won’t hold my breath, though.

You have to be a real scumbag to attack the Salvation Army. Those people are saints. They go into the toughest neighborhoods and help the hardest of hard cases. They live their faith.

What kind of a society considers them the bad guys?

#15: "The Salvation Army is not only one of the better charities, it is also a church."

Indeed it is. I used to go to Bible study at our local Sally Ann. And sometimes to Sunday services. It is an offshoot of Methodism. One thing that is guaranteed when you go to Salvation Army services is GOOD traditional music. They often have a small brass ensemble at worship too.

I highly recommend attending a Salvation Army Sunday service, at least once, just for the experience.

I am shocked that anyone would harbor hatred for the Salvation Army. Its history goes back 150 years. Its founder was William Booth an amazing man with a very interesting biography. He worked with the most miserable souls in 19th century London. The Salvation Army is one of the greatest humanitarian organizations in the whole world.
