No. The common denominator is gun free zones.
We can never be rid of mental cases. Too many of those are so hard to detect that discovering all of them is not possible.
However it is a proven fact that gun free Zones are a magnet for mass murderers.
It is also obvious that we can easily eliminate ALL gun free zones except prisons.
But we will not eliminate gun free zones, a misnomer if there ever was one because they exist only for the law abiding citizen and are ignored by the criminals, because we are ruled by fools who think the solution to all problems is passing one more law that must be more onerous than the present law.
I agree that gun free zones are a huge part of it. But have you had any personal experience with these meds when they go bad? I have... And I can absolutely guarantee they are causing these folks to flip out and do these things. I have had three direct personal in my face experiences with the deadly lack of concern for human life these drugs can actually cause.
There is no defending them to me in any form or fashion, ever... Been there first hand.

You are off the mark on the “situation” which is not civilian, except the individuals who were shot. There is something else at work.
And the sub’s commander may lose command over it. Speaking from experience/family/careers.
