The article did not say what the flu strain or strains are. Do you or does anyone know? I tried to search the CDC website just yesterday and it is harder to find that info than it used to be.
I checked the CDC website, and the variant has not yet been publicly announced.
Also, I checked the California Dept of Health, since that State has been seriously affected.
The range of the flu seems to be California,
and then range from Texas through to Georgia, inclusive.
