One collegue and one neighbor were in the navy and stationed in Pearl Harbor on December 7.
One of my parents’ friends was part of the Marine detail in Hong Kong and from December 8 to VJ day was a POW in Japan.
The marines should hav had diplomatic immunity, but some low level bureacrat did not sign the proper forms.
