Reading the article, especially the last few paragraphs, it became startlingly clear that Dems are desperate to stop any investigation of what they have been up to in Ukraine. Is the entire Impeachment farce distraction and cover-up operation? Sure looks like it.
I am not big on Special Counsel appointments, but it would be interesting for trump and republicans to unleash one on the Dem-Ukraine looting and political machinations.
