What does Drudge get out of this by selling out to Big Tech or Big Media. People are awake now. They’re not going to continue to support an entity that’s going to be the same as most of the media out there.

The new owner can determine all the followers of Drudge by monitoring Gmail, Facebook, and even Free Republic hits. Any website with a Google hit monitor that can be correlated back to a source from which they can know you as “you” helps them.
They don’t know who you are on Free Republic alone, but your computer with a Gmail cookie logged in visiting Free Republic tells them you visit Free Republic.
They are triangulating to find out who we are and what we visit.
They want to feed us search results and ads that will change our views.
