Joe Biden said Saturday that it is bizarre for Bernie Sanders to propose withholding U.S. military aid from Israel if the government there doesnt moderate its treatment of Palestinians.
The remarks highlight a nuanced but significant distinction between the Democratic presidential contenders. Biden and Sanders support a two-state solution for Israel and the Palestinians, and both men have criticized political leaders on each side of the long-standing conflict. But Bidens take, offered during a question-and-answer session with Iowa voters, hewed a more traditional U.S. establishment line by reaffirming a financial commitment to Israel regardless of its actions toward Palestinians.
The former vice president, while casting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a counterproductive and extreme right leader and accused Palestinian leaders of fomenting the conflict and baiting everyone who is Jewish, while suggesting that some on the U.S. political left give the Palestinian Authority a pass when criticizing Israeli leadership.
In terms of Bernie and others who talk about dealing with Zionism, I strongly support Israel as an independent Jewish state, Biden said in rural northeastern Iowa. He added, The idea that Id withdraw military aid, as others have suggested, from Israel, is bizarre. I would not do that. Its like saying to France, Because you dont agree with us, were going to kick you out of NATO.

If he gets elected which is highly unlikely we will have to impeach him immediately over this bribe.
Die quietly or the check won’t clear. <p”Quid pro d’oh.
It probably does look bizarre to Biden because there isn’t a leverage for large sums of cash for a family member involved.
So Quid Pro Joe is troubled by a QPQ? Joe is making a play for the Jewish vote. They both want the two state solution which will be a disaster. I think Trump actually knows this but it is such an affront to conventional wisdom that he has to keep it under his hat. It will take courage and a second term to broach that one.
Extortion!
Pot meets Kettle.
We all know that Joe Biden would never use the threat of withholding aid to influence a foreign government. Certainly he would never give Israel 6 hours to comply or else threaten to cancel a billion dollar loan guarantee.
Any leader who would do such a thing should be thrown out of office. /s
(Hey Joe, try coming over here and calling me a fat liar and see what happens...)
Sanders just handed Trump a giant hammer to use against the impeachment arguments, while at the same time pointing out the lack of support for Israel among Democrats.
The US already uses aid to Israel as a way to bribe Israelis to prevent them from a proper response to Arab terrorism. What the new Dems want is for Israel to commit suicide.
It would be so nice if Trump would nuke the paleostinians
In DJT's case, to stop throwing money towards a corrupt govt. It verifies Mick Mulvaney's explanation that QPQ is how ALL foreign aid is done.

Both the Jordanian Arabs (aka Palestinians) and the Israelis don’t want a two state solution.
They dont. The Palestinians want Israel gone, and so does most of the Democratic Party (even though some of their major donors and Bernie himself are Jewish...go figure).
Having been in Israel in September and seeing the difference between the Palestinian controlled areas - from which virtually all of the Arab Christians have fled...and the Israeli side, which does include many Israeli Arabs, I think this whole Palestinian state nonsense has got to go.
The Palestinian government has a huge and beautiful new building in Bethlehem. The rest of the town is a dump, except for a few slow attempts at building here and there, When Israel abandoned the West Bank, they left behind all the greenhouses, irrigation systems, etc. - and the Palestinians not only refused to use them, but they destroyed them.
You can tell the Palestinian areas because theres trash in the streets, working age men sitting around in front of their houses on their cell phones, a few desperate merchants selling stuff to tourists, a tiny handful of Christian Arabs who cant leave for family reasons but wont send their kids to state schools because theyll be indoctrinated - even though the Christian Arabs are the only ones who seem to work - so Id say no two states.
One state - Israel.
No quid pro quo there.
If it wasn’t so much fun to pick apart all these dem missteps, blunders, idiocies, we’d be fine to ignore them all. They don’t stand a friggn’ chance to beat DJT.
Over confidence, however, will not affect me, as it did Hillary.
When did anti-Semitism, which is anti-Israel, ever go out of fashion.
