Or have your wife stay at home, as wives used to. Cook home meals instead of eating out so often. Raise kids yourself instead of paying daycare to do it.

Really, if you add up all the expenses associated with having a working wife, it is likely equal to her net pay.

The government LOVES having middle-class wives work. In doing so, they get taxes from her work, plus collect sales tax and income tax from all the people she has to employ.

Well, there’s work and there’s work.

We do have a thriving black market economy, aka the “gig” economy, aka “cash under the table.”

Of course, this strategy tends to come back & bite one in the arse when it’s time to collect social security.
