Bumatay has served in various positions at the United States Department of Justice, including the Office of the Attorney General, the Office of the Deputy Attorney General, the Office of the Associate Attorney General, and the Office of Legal Policy. He serves as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of California in the San Diego office, where he is a member of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Forces Section.

Bumatay, a member of the Federalist Society since 2003, worked on the Bush Cheney campaign in both 2000 and 2004. He was President of the Yale College Republicans and Vice President of the Harvard Law School Republicans.
After law school and a clerkship with Judge Timothy Tymkovich, he worked at the Justice Department on the confirmations of Chief Justice John Roberts and Samuel Alito and former Attorney General Michael Mukasey.
After President Trump became president, he left his role as a line prosecutor and volunteered to be detailed to work beside senior political leadership at the Justice Department. While there, he won an award for his work on Neil Gorsuchs confirmation.
I wish Trump wouldn’t appoint these type of people (Harvard grads).
Hyphenation is Un-American. Sick and tired of the labels/identities.
Hmm, what can we normal people name ourselves?
signed: openly heterosexual Irish-American patriot.

Hyphens don’t concern me in the least.
I am a proud uneducated-deplorable.
You’re concerned about the hypen? I’m more concerned about having another faggot on the bench. Guess we have our priorities straight. Anyone ask him about what his thoughts are about the “bake the cake” issue?
That being said , he should keep his preferences in that area to himself.
An openly gay conservative. And Democrats say we hate gay people! Geez.
Butt, butt, butt———Evil orange man hates gays and non whites right?
Read his background in post 2. Why cant gays have their own conservative views just like the folks we praise for blaxit and jexit
or even white folks can have their own conservative
Views and that is all
Right
Anyone ask him about what his thoughts are about the bake the cake issue?
You may be right.
keeps the Doctor away
I thought the Log Cabin Republicans were the conservative gay group. Is that still around?

Like openly wet water.
Are you kidding?
I love these schadenfreude moments. Makes the libs twist themselves in knots. Both over the fact a Group Member isnt in their camp, and trying NOT to say why they dont like him.
Dont worry, before long libs will be calling him all kinds of names that conservatives arent allowed to use.
I’m not thrilled about having a sexual pervert in a position to judge others either.
He should recuse himself from any case where sexual orientation is a factor.
It’s kind of shocking to see a party line vote on a gay nominee where the Republicans are all for and the Democrats are all against.
Part of me thinks that makes for interesting politcal fodder. And part of me thinks I would never want to expose the general public to fodder of that nature.
No. What he lacks Ms. Feinstein, is blind allegiance to the Democrat party and an the complimentary "I'll do whatever you tell me to do" switch.
I'm willing to look the other way when it comes to saving our Republic.
