Here is a solution, disband the FISA court they can’t be trusted. Even when faced with criminal behavior they punt. Disband them and transfer every single judge to immigration court.

Throw it back at the FBI? Well yeah they were corrupt. But what about the FISA judge? Anyone with a lick of common sense would have asked the right questions to get to the bottom of this and see it was a corrupt political farce.

Shut it down today, pending further investigation (make that permanent). How many other FISA hoaxes have the Dems got going right now? We are in election cycle again, and they have already shown that they are above the law. Suspend Judge Rudy Contreras while we're at it.

That court is a disgrace. They’ve done absolutely nothing for years despite common knowledge they were defrauded.

They should have issued a show cause order way back when.

Abolish the FISA and FISC.

The FISA judges appear to be as vigilant as Col Klink. The FBI could tell them they’re investigating Generalisimo Francisco Franco for internet fraud and they’d sign it.

After ALL they've heard, including FOIA request releases by Judicial Watch the FISA court is going to play DUMB, like they didn't know they were being REPEATEDLY LIED TO? HAHAHAhahaa Hahahahaaa... yeah right.

The FISA court was PART of the Coup-Conspiracy from DAY ONE.

I worked for four years as a lawyer with/for Rosemary Collyer in a previous position of hers (nominated by President Reagan and confirmed by the Senate). I have utmost respect for her.

Question to a lawyer person on Free Republic that really knows Federal Law and the FISA court.

The FISA court today has well laid out the fraud that was committed against the court. Aside from laying out the offense what can this court legally do to address the fraud and correcting this offense against the innocents that were caught up in this fraud.

If you are not skilled lawyer most knowledgeable of Federal Law please do not comment.

ps
I am just a geologist, chemist and pharmacist. I think I do understand the constitution. I do not understand the legality of the FISA Courts. I think they are illegal. It most reminds me of the old courts of the USSR with their show trials combined with the extreme efficiency of the East German Stasi which was their FBI without restraint.

Some years ago when the FISA courts happened I debated with a friend of mine (also a hard core constitutionalist as I) and I expressed my fear that this court can be used for great good. I also expressed my fear that the potential for bad was far worse than its potential for good. We agreed and were right.

The FISA court must be disbanded. It is a danger to the Constitution.

Yes, Judge, a strongly-worded letter will do the trick.

Nevermind holding those who signed the false FISA applications in contempt, and ordering them to pay fines and/or serve jail time.

Does everyone notice how the media, including Fox News, is always talking about how they improperly surveilled Carter Page?

And they never explain the two-hop rule and how it works and how Carter Page was merely a conduit to spy on Donald Trump and his entire campaign and transition team and presidency.

Some of us haven’t forgotten that one Rosemary Collyer refused to provide transcripts of FISA court sessions related to the Page warrant to David Nunes when Republicans were investigating the very nonsense that has now been confirmed by a Democrat IG. Later the FISA court claimed it did not condescend to record its proceedings. Guess she forgot to mention that. Why does she preside over a star chamber with secret presentations and discussion that aren’t even recorded?

Wherefore, it is hereby

Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed, that the current head of the FBI bend over and a receive a dozen noogies for the misdeeds of the previous FBI Director, who will receive wet willies in perpetuam from a 400-pound Swedish masseuse every Monday morning at five a.m., unless he no longer works at the FBI, in which case never mind.

After 911 I remember Freepers just livid over this...

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act The period after 9/11 also saw major changes – and major controversy – around privacy, as spotlighted by government snitch Edward Snowden. The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which created a secret court, was amended in both 2001 and 2008, lowering the legal bar for the government to engage in wiretapping and other surveillance practices, National Law Journal reports. It is also widely documented that the National Security Agency or NSA turned inward after 9/11, going from an agency that spied on foreign governments and foreign terrorists to one that often tracks communications of American citizens here at home, and often without a warrant, according to the charges of Snowden and others

It came back to bite us just as predicted.
