Warmth = more ocean evaporation = more rainfall.
On a cooling trend (as we may be heading into as we enter the Solar Minimum), land will cool faster than the ocean, promoting condensation of ocean moisture, resulting in more rain/snow on land. For a while. Until the ocean cools enough that there is reduced evaporation moisture. Then we get droughts again.
