Pelosi suggests she may wait to send impeachment articles to Senate: 'We'll make a decision ... as we go along'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Democrats may wait to send their articles of impeachment against President Trump to the GOP-controlled Senate, for fear that they are incapable of holding a fair trial.

Pelosi held a press conference on Wednesday following the House impeachment vote and was asked what would qualify as a "fair trial."

"We'll make a decision as a group, as we always have, as we go along," she replied.

Pelosi was then asked about possibly withholding the articles of impeachment from the Senate until they get certain reassurances, and the Speaker refused to give a direct answer.

"Again, we'll decide what that dynamic is, but we hope that the resolution of that process will be soon in the Senate," she said.

She’d do that with all legislation if she had the Stalinist chance.

Have to vote for the bills to find out what were in them.

The Senate should vote on tomorrow and pass a binding rule that no articles of impeachment are valid unless presented to the Senate within 30 days of passage by Congress.

It’s pretty simple.

The Senate votes on the House evidence.

Done.

So Nancy holds back the Articles of Impeachment until she is assured of no corruption in the Senate. (Now she knows how Trump felt about giving aid to Ukraine before assurances were made about corruption.) But, what if the Senate wants to see the Articles of Impeachment from the House before writing the procedures and rules that Nancy so desperately wants to see? Sounds like a classic stand-off. Nancy is therefore guilty of “Obstruction of Senate” which is a crime I just made up out of whole cloth just like the 2nd Article of Impeachment.

I hope Mitch says tomorrow...send the articles by such and such or else the Senate nullifies the impeachment...like it never happened.

This arrogant disregard for the exclusive power of the Senate to try impeachment will not be well received over there.

Democrats are showing the American people exactly who they are. They’re not hurting President Trump at all.

They really need to keep it up!

Hmmm... while Nancy & her crew of merry ‘RATS decide what to do,,,,the Senate should RELENTLESSLY CONFIRM TRUMP’S JUDICIAL NOMINEES. RELENTLESSLY & RAPIDLY.

Please everybody understand that the House impeached the President based on their evidence.

The Senate will get that evidence and make a decision.

That is it.

I wonder if she could reach a decision if a million of us marched on DC with rope, tar and feathers.

Exactly, That’s why Schumer wants to redo the House impeachment in the Senate.

Not gonna fly. It’s over.
