The House on Thursday backed a new trade agreement with Mexico and Canada in a 385-41 vote, giving President Trump a big bipartisan victory and sending the NAFTA replacement to the Senate for consideration early in 2020.

Democrats, who control the House, approved the United States-Mexico- Canada Agreement, or USMCA, more than a year after President Trump secured the deal with our neighbors to the south and north.

Voting against the measure were 38 Democrats, two Republicans and one independent.

They sabotaged it by putting in provision where our inspectors
can enter Mexico’s manufacturing plant. Mexico will not like it.

Impeachment is dead as a doornail and Democrats just chucked it down the tubes.

Hilarious!

Remember this is the horrible reprobate Democrats wanted to toss out of office the other day.

Now they can do business with Trump? Color me cynical and that’s why impeachment is a political punch line.

Democrats have drained it of all meaning.

“””””Pelosi taking the credit.””””””

After she sat on it for a year?the only reason she put it up for a vote now is to take some sting off the botched impeachment hoax.

>>>Everyone knows it’s an improvement over NAFTA.

Sure, but NAFTA was noted by the President to be the worst trade deal ever negotiated. So, USMCA is potentially the second worst trade deal ever negotiated.

There are other reasons. Some powerful people put pressure on the dimwits to get it done! Pelosi knows with the new fascists on the block in her party she’s going to need as much $$$ as possible to keep her life of crime going!

The Mexicans are already reneging and won't allow US inspectors into the factories we out sourced to Mexico. This is a joke but if it makes Trump look good the I am for the cosmetics.

Over the weekend, Mexico’s top trade negotiator, Jesús Seade, complained that Mexico had been blindsided by the provision on the attaches.

All along, Mexican negotiators have rejected the idea that American officials could roam the country, inspecting factories to make sure Mexico was living up to commitments to let workers organize unions and bargain for higher wages and better working conditions.

Seade took to Twitter declare: “Mexico will NEVER accept them if it is in any way about disguised inspectors, for one simple reason: Mexican law prohibits it.”

It was unclear what Mexico could actually do about the attaches: Its Senate had already ratified the trade agreement. Seade said the U.S. attaches were not mentioned in the pact the Mexicans had agreed to.

On Monday, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer wrote a letter reassuring Seade that “these personnel will not be ‘labor inspectors’ and will abide by all relevant Mexican laws.’’

“My suspicion is that these attaches will take a big-picture view and focus on egregious situations and point those out and give notice to the Mexican government,’’ said Miguel Noyola, a partner at Baker & McKenzie LLP, who specializes in business in Mexico and Latin America. “I don’t think they will just be going on fishing expeditions.’’

Seems to be no teeth in this thing, give me tariffs or a border tax any day.

Bet the Unions said “Or Else No Union Money” and Pelosi bowed.
