I watch Seal Team too. It’s an excellent show. Grew up watching Audie Murphy movies. The “To Hell and Back” film was based on his war memoir. I read that he had terrible nightmares and slept with a pistol under his pillow. Here he survived the war, and then gets killed in a plane crash at the age of 45. Between Audie Murphy and John Wayne movies, I think that’s what motivated my brother to enlist in the Army. Growing up, all he ever wanted to do was be a soldier. He was in Vietnam ‘66-67’. Died at the young age of 51.

When I was a child, I slept with a cap gun under my pillow. One morning I awoke to find I'd fired it in my sleep. That cured me of keeping a gun under my pillow. Now I sleep with a gun on the night stand, far enough away that I'd almost fall out of bed if I grabbed it in my sleep. I have an alarm to wake me if anyone breaks in.
