They’re no longer even pretending to respect the votes of Americans. The impeachment was basically saying “you don’t get a vote if you don’t vote for us”.
It's more blatant than that. Nancy Pelosi actually said that the question of who will be president in 2021 is too important to be left to the voters. I seem to recall that other leftist politicians have also expressed a desire to disallow elections, but can't think of a specific example at the moment.
What’s worse was the constant silencing, gaveling of our Republican reps in the hearings. When the DEMS gaveled and roared, “YOU ARE NOT RECOGNIZED”, they meant us.
Their problems are even within their party itself; they’ve done a full 180 from marginalizing the radical leftists in favor of Hillary (with super-delegates) to now marginalizing any candidate who could pass for any semblance of “normal”. Biden was probably the one they could sell to most centrists and normals, and he’s going nowhere.
