Well........Bye....
*...though he had died decades ago...
It probably says something about me that I see the name Ram Dass and immediately assume the guy is a gay porn star and/or a Democrat in Congress.
We acid heads went on to screw up a whole LOT of people, some of which got into power positions .
Like . becoming teachers.
I've confessed before ( but it HAS been many years ), that I take some responsibility in the state our nation is in today.
I've liberated the name of a motorcycle club and attached it to myself in THIS particular description.
I was one of the best of The Devil's Disciples.
Ram Dass? Isn’t he the guy who gave us mall maps that tell us, “You are here”?
I bought one of his book back in the 70’s, “Be Here Now.” Lots of cool photos in it, and the message was simple and straightforward: live each day a moment at a time. Always wise words. I remember working as a student employee janitor at MSU Vet Clinic (stinky, messy job) and with a lot of stress in my life (can’t even remember now specifically what about), so I as disinfected the animal exam tables, mopped the floors and trying to ease my stress, by repeating over and over in my mind “be here now,” It helped.
I had no idea that he was an acid head for a while. I don’t recall it being mentioned in his book.
LSD “75”?
Not 25?
Richard Alpert
Fortunately, Herb Alpert is still alive.
I thought his name was Baba Ram Dass, or was that some one else...?
A psych professor who discovered another scam that paid better & got him laid !
Drugs and Satan. What a hero.
He’s There Now...
His famous book was “Be There Now”
I never heard of him...
Of course, I wasn’t “enlightened” back in those days...I was in the military...
Friend of Timothy Leary. I thought he died a few years ago.
Another proponent of the “Tune in, turn on and drop out” school of thought. Burn in Hell Ram.
Ram Dass isn’t exactly “dead”. He is probably just reincarnated into a dung beetle.
Beloved by whom. This guy was a hot mess
LSD is one of the most evil drugs ever discovered. There is no hell hot enough for its proponents.
Who?
Is he the one who said, “What is? is. What was? will be. What will be *was*, but will be again.”
