Per Mediate, Trump also touched on recent remarks by Hillary Clinton about Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and a certain "somebody" in the Democratic primary. Now, it gets complicated:
• More Trump: In Trump's words, "Crooked Hillary came out, she said that Jill Stein from the Green Party, she said Jill Stein was a Russian agent.
Now, I don't know Jill Stein, I'm sure she's a fine woman. But I know she's not a Russian agent."
• Even more: "Then [Clinton] said Tulsi Gabbard is a weapon of Russia," Trump added. "And they lost all credibility because you know that Tulsi Gabbard. ... I don't know, but I know one thing. She is not an agent of Russia."

I admire some things about her, particularly her battle with Hillary and opposition to deep-state empire-building
Her positions are otherwise mostly more big-government and leftist social engineering.

Certainly with other Democrat politicians, but not necessarily with Democrat voters. There are many Democrat voters who are embarrassed by all the dishonesty and hypocrisy, and who appreciates and respect a Democrat politician that refuses to go along with it.

She probably does look fine, but that picture people keep posting of a girl in a red bikini walking out of the surf - that’s not Tulsi.

Yes, true. you have a good point. My uncle was a Japanese prisoner of war in WWII. When they came across a guard who seemed somewhat human and wasn't a sadistic or brutal prick, they would remember him fondly - probably undeservedly so. Somewhat analogous situation, I suppose. Tulsi only looks good by comparison to the rest of her side.
She knew it was wrong, but only had the guts to vote “present” rather than “no”.
This wasn’t about her, and I agree with you. But Trump has trolled everybody involved with those statements.
Careful, folks... she’s still an enthusiast for gun-grabbing, “slavery reparations,” global warming taxation, and communized “health care.” She’s not deserving of trust.

I will admit that I recently added Jonathan Turley to Alan Dershowitz and Camille Paglia to make a total of three.

And from what I read, Tulsi wasn’t exactly gracious in her response to Trump’s kind words.
